Veteran’s Day 2024

Howdy Folks! Happy Veteran’s Day and welcome back to Eric’s website.

Today is the 10th anniversary of Eric leaving us to go home with the Lord. I can remember that devasting day as if were yesterday. I’ve had relatives and friends that have left my life to go home with the Lord but no one ever affected me as Eric’s leaving did. Which is probably one of the reasons he continues to give me signs when his Spirit is around me. His Spirit makes me laugh a lot; just like he did when he was physically on this planet.

My cousin and I were talking about fun vacations we’ve taken as adults. At the top of my list was a trip Eric and I took to South Beach, Miami. It was a last-minute spur of the moment decision to go and we had a ball.  We danced a lot, laughed a lot, ate and drank a lot, walked a lot while sightseeing, played in the water, took lots of pictures and hardly slept. Our hotel was right on the beach so when we came out of the back of the hotel, we walked right into the sand with the water being on the other side of the sand. There were even liquor bars on the sand. We promised we’d go back but we never got the opportunity to.

While I was preparing this posting, I had the TV on and someone on TV said this, “We all die twice. Once when our bodies quit and again when our stories stop being told”.  I said, “What? OMG!” I rewound the show to make sure I heard the statement correctly. I couldn’t believe that while I was preparing this posting of and for Eric that was said. I took that as another sign from Eric letting me know he knows I continue to tell his stories and he doesn’t want me to stop and I don’t think I’ll ever stop. I will keep his memory alive and I hope you guys are okay with receiving reminders of Eric. I also hope you guys are paying attention to the signs Eric’s Spirit is giving you or if not Eric, your loved ones that’s left this awesome planet to be with the Lord. If it’s happening to you too, you’re not alone and it’s a wonderful feeling of love.

Please watch the video below with some photo memories of Eric, with hopes it jogs your memories you have of Eric.

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

See you in 2025
