People say it gets easier with time; I totally disagree.  If any of you have lost someone who was really, really close to you than you know too, it doesn’t get easier with time; the pain of losing them stays the same; as the 1st day they left to be with the Lord.  I thank all of you for allowing me to share Eric with you as part of my grieving process. It means the world to me.

With that in mind…

Have you ever had one of those “occurrences” where something odd happened to you, around you, for you and you didn’t have an explanation for it?

For example, a garbage can top comes off the garbage can and slides across the floor to the other side of the room for no reason or you feel someone touch you with their pointy finger but when you look to see who just poked you, no one is there.

Unexplained “occurrences” never use to happen to me before Eric left us, but now seems to happen to me quite often. Is Eric’s “Spirit” among us?

While watching Rev. Al Sharpton’s TV Show on MSNBC, Sunday, October 7, 2018 one of those “occurrences” happened. It was one of Eric’s favorite political shows too and he knows I watch Rev. Al religiously.

The day before the “occurrence” on Rev. Al’s Show, while drafting a script for this posting, having thoughts of Eric, I wondered out loud if one of those “occurrences” would happen on my birthday.  It has in the past. When an “occurrence” happens, it makes for a fun day!

The “occurrence”  which happened on Rev. Al’s Show was so unexpected; I couldn’t believe my eyes nor ears. It totally seemed like a sign from Eric via Rev. Al Sharpton to me.  I jumped up in shock and ran to my DVR to replay it; sure enough, the replay confirmed I did hear what I thought I heard and I did see what I thought I saw. WTH!!!

I replayed it over and over and kept yelling out, “OH my goodness, OMG! OMG! Did that really just happen?,” I wondered if anyone else that knew Eric saw it. It made me silly and playful; it was comforting. It was so surreal!

Finally, I realized I needed proof of this odd and rare “occurrence”, so I recorded it on my tablet to get it to my library on my computer. Had no idea I would be sharing it for this posting, but you have to see it!
